Tremella Mushroom

Tremella Fuciformis is also known as Snow Fungus  or White  fungus . It is  a type of mushroom  in which  it grows from the wood log  and give the  ear appearance which explained the  chinese name  of snow fungus as white wood ear 白木耳。 Tremella mushroom has been  used for thousands of years as food  and  medicinal  herbs by the chinese families. Its gelatinous  texture  and  ability to hold  large content of moisture made it  a beauty food  to nourish and hydrate the skin  whether to use internally or externally. Its  polysaccharide properties also further research to explore its  medicinal properties  as anti-tumor, immunomodulatory, anti-oxidation, anti-aging, repairing brain memory impairment, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic and hypocholesterolemic. See below  list of research articles on Tremella with no particular order of the strength of the studies.
